to expand the facilities
of the Club and allocated $5000 for the purchase of a skeet range
program. Although the move was not unanimous, the wisdom of the BOD
has been born out over the years with the income from this division more
than covering the initial investment, while providing our members with
another avenue for shooting. The mantle of leadership for this division then
fell on Arnold Zucker and we would like to share his comments.
"How can you express the satisfaction of making so many new friends within
my short seven years association with the Wawarsing Rod and Gun Club? "
Since assuming the role of "Skeet Chairman" (in title only as I can assure
you we get more than enough volunteers whenever work has to be done). I can
truthfully say that I have yet to meet a nicer, friendlier and more
cooperative bunch of guys who are dedicated to having a fun day each time we
gather to shoot skeet. Whether we get good scores or bad, good weather or
not we are there weekly enjoying ourselves and each other. The work parties,
the pizzas, the snow shoveling, the cold, the heat is shared by all as we
meet weekly to do our thing, namely, shoot.
To all my new friends I thank you for the great days together and look
forward to many more."
