There will be a
NRL 22 match on 9/24 from 9 AM to 5 PM
. There will be no casual shooting on the 300 -yard range during the
match.
The Annual wood cutting day has been scheduled
for Saturday October 21 starting at 9AM. Lunch will be
served at noon. We will be cutting and splitting firewood and stacking
it inside the range building for use in the woodstove this winter. If
you want to be warm shooting this winter, come out and spend a few

Safety Alert – The Skeet division reports
finding fired 00 Buckshot shotshells on the skeet ranges. Also, a new
shooter arrived at the skeet range with a box of 00 buckshot shells to
shoot a round of skeet. The shells were replaced with suitable
shotshells, and the shooter was allowed to shoot a round of skeet. The
concern is that some members may be using 00 buckshot to shoot arial
targets with their own handheld or machine launched targets. This is a
dangerous practice as the buckshot could travel off the club property
and endanger the trailer park or kids camp which border the club’s
property.
All members are advised to use bird shot NO LARGER than 71/2 when
shooting at ariel targets to reduce the chance of shot falling off
the club’s property
.
Reminder – there is no using
Tannerite
or other exploding targets on the ranges at the WRGC. Explosions
disturb our neighbors, and we try to be good neighbors.
