Coming Events

Dinner for the May 13th meeting. The dinner starts at 6:30PM. REMEMBER you can either reserve online at wrg.club/dinner or you must call Marianne first at 845-626-7968 to make your reservation and send in a check for $15 per person. Reservations MUST be in by May 6th! - Ray Tartakoff will be doing a Burger and Dog 'Picnic' with Potato Salad and Cole Slaw.

June 2025: Board of Directors – London Broil, Potato salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob and bread
Sept 2025 : Cook needed
Oct 2025 : John Kaknis – Spaghetti and meatballs and antipasta Italian dinner
Nov 2025 : Cook Needed

Spring clean up is April 26 at 9 AM . Many hands make light work, so grab a pair of work gloves and come out to help on that day. We are policing the grounds, getting the roofs on the 22 range shelters, cleaning some brush piles …. And whatever else needs to be done The ranges will be closed for the day .
Lunches will be served – really – free lunch!!! Please come and help.

Trap Shoots at Wawarsing- Next shoot is 4/27. Trap will hold shoots on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month if shooters sign up. Open to the public. You must go to wrg.club/trap to sign up. You can bring up to 2 guests to the shoot. Shoots will begin at 9:00. Arrive at 8:30. Cost is $5.00 per round. Anyone interested in helping run the shoots should contact Fred at 845-883-6454 or Hank at 845-564-2270.

The 22 caliber long range for 2025 will have the following shooting events this season.
New shooters always welcome. Please sign up at PractiScore. Event cost is $5 for club members $10 for non members; under 18 (but over 12) is free. One or two people to volunteer to help setup for the event would be greatly appreciated.
Match dates are Sun. 5/4, Sat. 5/31, Sat. 6/28, Sun. 7/20, Sat. 8/30 and Sun. 9/28. Matches start at 9AM and should be finished about 4PM.
No casual shooting on the 300-yard range during the matches.
The Course of Fire may be 1 of 3 types. "Long Gong" will be a new C.O.F for this year that will be a 250-300 yd Bench Rest format. The other 2 are similar to last season - .22 NRL (100 yards and under) and .22 PRS (50 yards to 365 yards. Contact number is 845.421.1080 - Text or Call.
Sneak Preview - Sun. 5/4 will be "Long Gong" - :)
The Long Gong event is 222 yards. If a club member would like to set up 3 plate rack at 100 yds, contact Mark via Email or text and he will set up a 100 yard rack. The score at 100 yards would not apply to the shoot.

Skeet Shooting Tuesday and Friday shoots have resumed. Skeet shooting is scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays 9:00am – 12 noon . Arrive at 8:30 for squad assignments. We will also open the skeet range on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Saturday shooting will start at 1:00 PM.

22 Benchrest Matches at Wawarsing: WRGC shoots are on 6/8/25 – 7/6/25 – 8/3/25 and 9/14/25. Shoots start at 9 AM. The rimfire range will be closed to casual shooting during the matches.

Due to the generosity of one of our members,we have a collection of Collector Edition State Duck Stamp Prints for sale to benefit the club.
These are really beautiful prints. They are signed, limited edition, unframed, archive quality, prints in new condition, in original packaging, never framed, and stored flat. Check them out at wrg.club/prints

Keep on the lookout for ‘The Bulletin Board’ section. The club will list upcoming projects to invite proposals from the skill resource that is our membership.

Federated Sportsmen’s Clubs of Ulster County(aka Federation) is celebrating 80 years. Check out their site at fscuc.org . News, updates and upcoming events right on the home page. Definitely worth a couple minutes (at least) to peruse.

The Future of Dinner Meetings are in your hands! Cooks are needed for future monthly dinner meetings! Please consider volunteering to head a team for one of our upcoming dinner meetings. REMEMBER - Pistol permits need to be recertified every 3 years, reminders are supposed to sent but there are reports that some are not. Information on the recertification is here. You can check your status and/or recertify here

REMINDER –ALL MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO DISPLAY THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD WHEN USING THE CLUB RANGES. If you do not display your card, then do not get angry when another member asks if you are a member. We have too many trespassers not to check for cards.

Importance Notice –non-members may not discharge firearms on the club property without completing an insurance Waiver, Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement. A waiver must be completed each time a guest comes to the club. Range rules are at wrg.club/rangerules
