Dinner for the October 13th meeting. Dinner starts at 6:30PM. Reserve online at wrg.club/dinneror you must call Marianne first at 845-626-7968 to make your reservation and send in a check for $15 per person. Reservations MUST be in by Oct 6th! Make a reservation if you want to attend dinner.
Dinner will be:Tokyo fried ribs w/ orange garlic ginger sauce, oriental fried rice, red cabbage. Salad. Cake and ice cream for dessert.

22 caliber long range New shooters always welcome. Last 2026 Match date is 10/17. Shooting will be from 9:00 to 2:00. Contact number is 845.421.1080 - Text or Call.

22 Benchrest Matches at Wawarsing: 2026 schedule has been posted. The remaining Wawarsing match date is Sept 13. Shoot starts at 9 AM. The rimfire range will be closed to casual shooting during the match. Info is also at wrg.club/benchrest

Skeet Shooting – Skeet shooting schedule is Tuesdays and Fridays 9:30am – 1:00. Arrive at 9:00 for squad assignments. We will also open the skeet range on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Saturday shooting will start at 1:00 PM. Future dates are on the club site calendar or please contact the chairmen below as to the future dates. BILL BUSKEY chairman 845-361-2778. Trap Shoots at Wawarsing – Trap shoots are 1 ^st and 3 ^rd Saturday of the month through October. No signup necessary. Open to the public. Shoots will begin at 9:30. Arrive at 9:00. Cost is $5.00 per round. Interested in helping run the shoots? Email trap@wrg.club. Info is also at wrg.club/trap.

Youth Program – Halloween fun for the kids. Pumpkin carving/painting; music & dancing, apple bobbing, games & prizes, best costume prize, food and drinks. Free event but donations accepted. October 30th, 2026 . 6:00-8:30 PM at the clubhouse

Editor’s Note: During the late Summer Project Day (8/29) there was an incident where a member came up to shoot but did not realize the ranges were closed as usual for posted project days. This particular member got pretty irate on finding out he could not shoot and proceeded to leave at a pretty high rate of speed. He came too close to the members working and created an unsafe environment. It was unsportsmanlike conduct and will not be tolerated. Just because someone did not take the time to look at the calendar or the website – Don’t be that guy!!

Also – very special thanks to the few that did show up to help out on project day. We still got a great deal accomplished

Fall Project Day (aka Wood Cutting Day) – 10/24 – 9:00 till 2:00 On the docket is: Wood cutting and stocking the range house for the winter. Skeet steps and Youth building skirt needs to be painted; Garage organization; general cleanup on the grounds and road & launch cleanup, etc.
Range will be closed to casual shooting!

The annual Venison dinner is on Tuesday, December 8. Please keep the club in mind when you are successful in your hunt. Consider donating …. we need hind quarter roasts, boned and rolled; Other game meat may be accepted as well. Please contact the Venison Dinner Committee when you have meat to donate. For our new members, the next New Member Orientation is on Oct 17 ^th – the next one is Jan 16^th. Arrive at 9:15 to sign in & grab a cup of coffee. Orientation starts at 9:30 sharp!
