40 th Children’s Fishing Contest
- Parents – bring the kids out for some fishing fun!!! – It’s not too late!!!!
The
Children’s Fishing Contest is on for
Saturday, May 30th
at
Lippman Park.
You also still have time to volunteer to help.
. The Federation is providing a trailer with loaner poles and all kinds
of fishing supplies for the kids.
We could use some people to help out on that day so …. do it for the
kids. Sign up to volunteer on
wrg.club/events.
Dinner for the June 9th meeting. Dinner starts at
6:30PM. Reserve online at wrg.club/dinner or
you must call Marianne first at 845-626-7968 to make your reservation
and send in a check for $15 per person.
Reservations MUST be in
by June 2nd!
The BOD dinnerwill be BBQ chicken, corn on the cob with
cole slaw, potato & macaroni salads. Strawberry shortcake for
dessert!

22 caliber long range New shooters always
welcome. 2026 Match dates are the following Saturdays 5/16, 6/20, 7/18,
8/15, 9/19, 10/17. Shooting will be from 9:00 to 2:00. Contact number is
845.421.1080 - Text or Call. 300 yard range will be closed to casual
shooting from 9:00 to 2:00 during the matches.

22 Benchrest Matches at Wawarsing: 2026 schedule
has been posted. The Wawarsing match dates are June 7, July 5, Aug 2 and
Sept 13. Shoots start at 9 AM.
The rimfire range will be closed to casual shooting during the
matches.

Skeet Shooting – Skeet shooting schedule
starting May 1 will be
Tuesdays and Fridays 9:30am – 1:00
. Arrive at 9:00 for squad assignments. We will also open the skeet
range on the
1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Saturday shooting will start
at 1:00 PM.
Future dates are on the club site calendar or please contact the

Trap Shoots at Wawarsing – Sunday trap
shoots have resumed – but only if shooters sign up.
Shoots will be on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month for the
summer. Open to the public. You must go to
wrg.club/trapto
sign up. You can bring up to 2 guests to the shoot. Shoots will
begin at 9:00. Arrive at 8:30. Cost is $5.00 per round. Anyone
interested in helping run the shoots should contact Fred at 845-883-6454

IMPORTANT!
There was a proposal made to update the dues schedule for
members starting in 2027.
The proposal was to raise the dues to offset rising costs, contracted
projects and improvements, etc. The new dues proposal is Regular dues
$75, Senior dues $40, Life dues $25. Existing life members would remain
at $15. A motion was passed and discussion followed. The full proposal

This will be voted on at the meeting on 6/9. Be there to vote!

Mid Summer Project Day – 6/27 – 9:00 till 2:00 On the
docket is some of the things we did not get done previously cause of the
weather: Additional tree cutting, move cut wood into the range house to
dry out, trim painting on the clubhouse, skeet high house treads, road
& launch cleanup, etc. sign up on the events page online to help out
- as usual, lunch will be provided. (wrg.club/events)
The Training and
Education Committee is planning the first course for June 27
th from 6:00 - 8:00pm. It will beBasic Trauma First
Aid For the Range and Everyday Emergencies.This course
provides a practical introduction to basic first aid and trauma response
for both range-related and everyday emergencies. This is for Members (plus one).
